Preparation Guidelines
Hangers: Please bring all items on hangers (these will be returned to you).
Condition: All items must be clean, steamed or pressed, and free of odors (smoke, mold, animals), lint, and hair.
Selection: We accept a minimum of 10 items and a maximum of 75 total items per season. Limits include a maximum of 10 pairs of pants and 10 dresses.
Quality Control: Check items under bright light for stains, pilling, or holes. We do not accept items with cut-out tags, alterations, or brands such as Walmart, Kmart, B. Moss, Fashion Bug, or Dress Barn.
Spring Examples
Spring items such as:
- Bermuda shorts
- Sandals
- Capris
- Spring Jackets
- Pastel Colors
- 3/4 Sleeve Shirts
- Dresses with Sleeves
- Light Sweaters/Sweatshirts
You are also allowed to bring all other staple items such as jeans, pants, belts, sportswear, purses, etc.
Consignment Terms
Ownership: Upon acceptance, ownership of the items transfers to the Boutique.
Processing: Items that do not meet our standards during the tagging/steaming process will be donated without exception.
Period: The consignment period is 90 days.
Commission Rates:
- 60%: High-end designers (e.g., Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci).
- 50%: Top designers (e.g., Tory Burch, Coach, Kate Spade).
- 40%: Standard apparel, shoes, and non-designer handbags.
Account Fees: A $1 monthly fee is deducted from active accounts.
Balances on accounts with no activity for 12 months will be forfeited.
Payments & Unsold Items
Payouts: Payments are issued via check (minimum $20) or store credit upon request during the first week of each month. Checks must be picked up in-store and cashed within 180 days.
Unsold Items: Items priced under $50 that remain unsold after 90 days are donated. Items priced over $50 may be reclaimed within a 7-day grace period following the expiration date. It is the consignor's responsibility to monitor their account for these dates; the Boutique will not send reminders.
Risk and Liability
The Boutique is not responsible for loss or damage due to circumstances beyond our control. Consignors are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage.
You will be asked to sign the full Agreement form during your appointment to verify that you have read and understood these policies.
